The following document describes “Sales Mode” in ServiceLink. Sales Mode allows providers to see the assignments for their clients, contacts or cases that they get commission on.
Commissions Setup
ServiceLink must first know what entities providers get commissions on. The commissions setup for a provider is sent to ServiceLink from Solaria 6.10 or higher. A Commissions tab was added to the provider details page to show what commissions are assigned to them. A Commissions tab will also show on the client, contact and case detail pages when they have commissions assigned to them. Only company users that have access to the new Staff Commissions privilege can see commissions.
Permissions
Allow salespeople to view the sales mode by giving them Read access to the Sales Mode privilege on their User Role. (The Create, Update and Delete access privileges are ignored.) We recommend adding a separate User Role for salespeople.
Dashboard
When providers log in, they will see buttons on the dashboard to switch between Reporting mode and Sales mode if they are both a reporter assigned to services and a salesperson with access to the Sales Mode privilege. If they do not have any services assigned to them, they will only be in sales mode and cannot switch to reporting mode.
In sales mode, the dashboard will show a few different features on it. Instead of tiles for Assignments to Confirm and Incomplete Worksheets, it will show a tile for Clients Billed This Month. This will show the amount on invoices sent in the current month for assignments the provider gets commissions on. The provider must have Read access to the Orders privilege to see this tile. Clicking on the tile will show the list of orders that make up that amount.
The Upcoming Assignments list on the dashboard will show the list of upcoming assignments that the provider gets commissions on.
Lists will display on the dashboard to highlight the top 10 clients, contacts and cases that the provider gets commissions on according to the number of assignments they are on within the current year.
Finally, a list of the top 10 callers on assignments that the provider gets commissions on is shown.
Providers can set their default mode and hide/show the lists by going to My Account.
Calendar
When a provider is in sales mode, they will only see assignments on the calendar that they get commissions on.
Assignments List
When a provider is in sales mode, the assignments list will show all assignments that they get commissions on. They can also see all assignments for the company by changing the Include drop-down list they will see at the top of the list from “My Assignments” to “All Assignments”.
Orders
When a provider is in sales mode and views the orders list or order details page for client orders, they will see the totals on invoiced orders; however, they will not see any details about the invoice items nor see the links to view the PDF of any invoices.
Other Items to Note:
- Providers will not see any files attached to assignments when they are in sales mode unless they are also a reporter on an assignment and given access to the files.
- They will continue to see all of their own invoices and payments on those invoices.
- They can see the basic information of all clients, contacts and cases in the company under the Directory menu.
- The mobile view of ServiceLink will also show a Sales Mode switch on the mobile dashboard (if they are both a reporter and a salesperson) and show only assignments they get commissions on in sales mode.
