Paying Taxes on Resource Invoices

The following article steps through the setup required and process used to pay taxes on resource invoices.  This is a common requirement in countries outside of the United States.


Setup

  1. Turn on Pay Taxes on Resource Invoices in Settings --> System Preferences --> Resources tab.



2. On the Resource maintenance window, you can assign a Tax Rate to each resource:

On the resource invoices, the tax rate will default if there is one assigned to the resource, but it can be set or overwritten on the resource invoice.  It calculates the taxes on all items on the invoices for one tax amount:

Taxes are treated as “miscellaneous” pay and are treated as guaranteed pay.
